At the heart of this gift set are two handcrafted ceramic bowls and chopstick rests custom designed by the Los Angeles-based ceramic artist Shoshi Watanabe, whose work can be found in acclaimed restaurants and hotels including, Lulu at the Hammer Museum and The Line Hotel.
For an additional cost ($10), each bundle can be gift wrapped in reusable furoshiki, a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth featuring a hand painted design.
Kin-Tobi Kinuakari Udon noodle - Kinu, meaning silk and Akari meaning brightness in Japanesespeaks to the optimal noodle texture unique to the special wheat sourced from the Aichi Prefecture.
Hayashi-Kyuemon-Shoten Dashi - Sourced exclusively by the JACCC from Japan, this dashi features 100% all natural ingredients made from dried bonito flakes from Kagoshima, dried sardines from Nagasaki, kelp from Hokkaido, and shiitake mushrooms with no artificial seasonings, preservatives, added flavor, or salt.
