SHIMMERING CRANE MINI POUCH
Originally, this motif depicted dried "noshi awabi", a type of dried abalone used as an offering to the gods. Over time, it became a symbolic design used in gift wrapping. In Japan, noshi is often seen in the upper right corner of wrapped gifts. The pattern evolved to stylize the elongated shape of the wrapping paper itself.
