Say hello to the Shikibun hand crafted notepad - facing the challenge of pine wilt disease, the craftsmen at Shikibun have chosen to infuse new life into these resilient trees, seamlessly integrating them into our daily lives. Each notepad is meticulously handcrafted from reclaimed “Akamatsu” red pine, sourced from the Shinshu Ina Valley in Nagano, Japan. Adding to this “living” notepad’s character, it may warp or crack over time. As time passes, the color may change, adding to this notepad’s charm. As each of these wood crafted notepads are carefully hand-bound. As in all natural things, it is important to appreciate the unique, delicate beauty and to appreciate its imperfections.
