This is a Paulownia pattern. Paulownia is a fast-growing plant, and the wood is highly prized for its stability, fire resistance, insect resistance, and humidity control (anti-mold) properties. These features made it an expensive material for making furniture and safes. The pattern symbolizes wishes for children's healthy growth and protection from evil.
